Guide to Testing

Postby beemanjohn88 » Mon May 14, 2018 3:07 pm

Hi all, does anyone have a definitive guide/ tips on testing. Such as:

When to test (only in winter? In between every race? Only after new parts are added to car?)

How to test?( number of laps necessary? Focus areas? What driver comments should I look for to let me know I can finish testing?)

Is it worth travelling to other tracks, or does it not matter.

Any other tips on getting the most out of testing...thanks in advance.

I do testing before the season, after every race so i just get the max out of the parts and whenever i get upgraded parts...
Do testing at your home site, cause it is cheap.
Usually do around 50 laps of car performance and car improvements
If you do not do this, your cars are around 2-3 sec's off their max pace, trust me i tested this with many mods and teams, mostly Minardi as they can qualify solidly if you do testing
At pay drivers or rookies, you can do the 'Driver skill',was it?Some drivers will improve if you do this, but not if you do too little laps
Always look for parts you can improve, they'll improve your performance.
Hopefully this will help you.
